Yep, my personal record. Yesterday I spent the whole 20 hours in high heels. Very high, very heels. I took my new Asos clogs out for a walk and it turned out a marathon, ending with senseless clubbing late at night (swapped them for more comfortable high heeled boots then). There's nothing more fun than starting a day with a fashion show, followed by a coffee, hanging out with a friend, faffing about town doing all the little things you never find time for, meeting up with inspiring bears done hybernating, going through some breathtaking pieces in a designers studio (more about that in the next post)...and evening drinks, then dancing your feet off. Ouch. Best day in weeks.

joke souvenirs from my best friends travels, gifts from people who aren't here anymore, grandmas little pot she used to make coffee, tiny teapot from Denmark, my little pony, very old, could call it vintage Viki krema glass, a stone from my mums trip, a fancy dress crown from 'The princesses take over Graz', a little doll from my grans house and the two cheeky hipster mistas ive made myself.

Right. New in, Just in, New arrivals, Spring/Summer collections. I am up for it, I am.

Last week I was talking to my friend about star signs and horoscopes and whether there's any truth about it. We agreed that there's only as much truth as there is a coincidence. My birthday is getting closer with a speed of light (literally, about 4 daylights to go) and my Capricorness will be getting it's kick again by reading a monthly or even a yearly horoscope (Glamourmag's maybe?). Not to follow it or to get an advice, but merely as some sort of travel rations, a good wish, a birthday card from the stars. Or lonely under qualified middle aged women with funny hair, playing with cards, dice, beans, coffee grounds, crystal balls and well, google search.

Anyway, if i somehow get all the money that my star sign has been waiting in line for since last year, I would treat myself one of the beauties below. If not, love would be just as good, or better.

Še ena sezona gre h koncu, še en januar hoče trgovine napolniti s strastnimi zapravljivkami. Že od srednje šole se ne tepem za zadnji kos na obešalniku, ne prenesem hrupa, evforije in vsesplošnega kaosa, ki spremlja razprodaje. Letos sem v obljubljeno deželo znižanj vstopila na tretji dan. Prazno. Moj en in edini nakup, top v Zari za 9,99€, dolgi rokavi za pod pulover. 

Kam gredo vsi neprodani znižani kosi? V Angliji končajo v angleških in baltiških charity shopih, v Italiji jih pošljejo v outlete po smešnih cenah. V Sloveniji? Hmm... Nekaj jih konča v porazno založenih outletih in trgovinskih sale-rackih, nekaj jih pošljejo nazaj k dobavitelju, prva nagrada pa gre vsekakor premnogim slovenskim trgovinam, ki artiklom kratko malo nazaj zvišajo ceno in jih vključijo v redno prodajo. Managerji, ki najbrž poznajo izraz 'sezona' le iz kmetijstva in športa. Phh.

Po investicijah v fotoaparat, opremo stanovanja in potovanja ter virtualnem bankrotu, sem svoj nakupovalni fix dobila z iskanjem kosov na spletnih trgovinah.

Trik je v tem, da klikneš X in zapreš okno z nakupovalno košarico pred plačilom. Veliko močne volje v letu 2011 vam želim...

December Date

Tako je. Na dejtu sem bila. Čisto pravem dejtu z Nino. Začel se je s turističnim obiskom X trgovine in njenim izrazitim lunapark efektom. 'Army šop', je sprožil plaz idej za pustne maske. Drevo, noj, sneg, nevem več. V trgovini s čevlji sva vihali nos, v tisti z igračami in pustnimi dodatki pa vriskali ob nenačrtovanem brainstormingu. Potem pa naš dobri-stari-novi-second hand shop Gvant v BTC-ju, v prostorih prejšnjega. Dress up! Kaj vse se najde! Edini nakupovalki sva se z dovoljenjem dobrovoljne prodajalke po mili volji preoblačili, igrali modno revijo, foto-šutinge, princeske in klovnese...Dokler ni prišel čas da izbereva kaj bova odnesli s seboj in odhitiva v kino. Vsi filmi so že začeli, od tistih na voljo sva izbrali lesser evil med chick-flicki, The Romantics. Ahh Katie, Katie. 6/10 - če ga gledaš z nekom, ki ima smisel za humor. Srednje kokice sva zmazali še pred zapletom. Potem naslednji film (2 za ceno enega, kaj pa), Spet ti. Ojoj. Je bil vsaj smešen. Potem sva se zapeljali domov, se razšli, jaz pa sem jo naslednji dan - poklicala. Rules must be obeyed.

This is one of the best definitions of love anyone can understand. It is very simple to love and it happens when you're not looking. Diving into the mind of a boy with Asperger's Syndrome makes me feel calmer. Reminding me everyone sees the world in their own way, loves and responds by their own perception and rules. And let me add a quote by Mrs. Roosevelt, who said 'No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.'

Kakšen je popoln dan?

Ko te ves dan spremlja topel vtis prejšnjega večera, upaš da se bo ponovil, se še oglasil. Srečaš modni vili, ki te v svoj grad v starem mestnem jedru spustita s ključem, vip. Usnjena jakna s krznom, plašč, tako veličasten da se ga dotakneš nežno, s konicami prstov. 

Dan preživiš v najdražji trgovini v mestu, zbiraš kataloge in kose za stajlinge, ješ čokolado in vzdihuješ ob pregrešno dragih čevljih Versaceja, obleki Alexandra McQueena in Liu Jo torbice. Galerija... Kenzo, Marella, Escada, oh. In vse to z eno od najbližjih prijateljic. Kava, kava še enkrat, tokrat z okusom irske, z darilom. Srečaš še eno prijateljico in jo povabiš zraven. Potem še več katalogov, čevljev, Marc Jacobs legice, Strenesse obleka. Midas je od zdaj mi daš. 

Drink v Bikofeju, review stajlingov, brainstorming, gossip...Ko odhajam pozdravim njega, ki mi mehča kolena že tri leta, pred njim ne nosim visokih pet. Tortica v Zvezdi. Vale Novak, pogledam knjige revije, to že imam, to že imam, to tudi. Pogumno s katalogi v roki peš domov, mimo Max Mare, v novih škornjih v katerih se počutim kot da lahko letim. Dišim po parfumu za katerega je Nina rekla naj ga poskusim, ker diši tri dni. Povem v petek. Teti posesam stanovanje, pomirim prestrašenega mucka, se stuširam in razvajam z omamnim maslom za telo. Pogrejem mamino pico, v slušalke pošljem Lykke Li in Lissie, nekomu ukradem internetno povezavo in se zadovoljna zleknem na posteljo z laptopom v naročju... to each his own.

Saturday night da ba da dan dee dee dee da

After two nights of 'partying' (being in bed at 1am still counts as partying yes?) I had to trick my body into thinking its awake and ready to do it again. Yummy home made plum pie and some poisonous drinks and i ended up in bed again. For 3 hours. Then hiking for another 3, to detox. At the top of the mountain, my friend Has tried to steal some mans steak, so we got told off. Picked up some rubbish people left behind in the forest, to make up for the last few nights. Working behind a computer for hours is easy if you can't feel your legs.

- Playing 'This is not your bone' with Has
- Full DIY facial
- Watching Supermodel.si show on the telly, since the auditions i only watch it cos i have a crush on two members of the jury, the woman and the man on her right.
- Cleaning up the mess in the bathroom, so my skin care products will feel more loved
- Going to get the new Vogue

1. - Backstreet Boys - ''Backstreet Boys'' 1996
Definitely the best album ever - or so i thought from 1996-1998. My sister got it for her birthday, so i had to listen to my copy on tape and i remember crying one night because i thought that when CDs will take over and tapes will be out, i wont be able to listen to them. wow.
2. - Celine Dion - ''Live a Paris'' 1996
Still one of my favourite albums. I know we are all supposed to hate her cos shes so commercial and that, but the songs in french she did in those days are amazing. Bite me!
3. - Madonna - ''Ray of light'' 1998
I got this album as a birthday present from my Italian language teacher in 8th grade. I  still know the lyrics to Ray of light by heart and can sing it perfectly. Jealous? non?
4. - The Cranberries - ''Everybody else is doing it so why can't we?'' 1992
Ahh...The crans:) I have pretty much every track they ever recorded. and the ones they didn't. I got this album from my sister for New years. Amazing! Oh and I cut my hair as the singer when 17. Yes, my zodiac sign is 'a fan'.
5. - Santana - ''Supernatural'' 1999
Really good album isn't it. Is there anyone who doesn't love it?
6. - Velvet Underground & Nico - (the Andy Warhol's banana) 1976
I know how lame this sounds, its like saying your favourite film is Citizen Kane. Well, I got this album from a mate from uni, for helping him with his work.
7. - Ray Charles - Ray OST 2004
I bought this one for passing one of the hardest exams at uni, the construction mechanics, with 9/10 or something. I really loved the film.
8. - Franz Ferdinand - ''You could have it so much better'' 2005
Again, one of my favourites. As Alex Kapranos is one of my favourite people. In the world. Yes he is. Throw the first stone!
9. - Guillemots - ''Throught the window pane'' 2006
Probably the best album ever. I found out about Guillemots in a Dazed&Confused magazine before the album was released. Loved them ever since...
10. - Bloc Party - ''Silent alarm'' 2005
We all love this one don't we. Won't lose words.
11. - The Seal Cub Clubbing Club - ''Super Science Fiction'' 2008
One of the best things i brought with me from UK. Still takes me back to the mornings getting ready for uni and evenings getting ready to go out in 2007, listening to those 4 tracks on myspace. Nik, thank you for recording the album! Life is easier now:)
12. - The Fiery Furnaces - ''Bitter tea'' 2006
This album is so good it makes me want to cry. I used to be addicted to it. Months after downloading it, I got the actual album from a person who got it for free as a promotion at a newspaper and thought they were shit. Thanks again!
13. - Kings of Leon - ''Because of the times'' 2007
So much better than their next album. And this one's got one of my favourite songs on it, 'Fans'. Lovely yes.
14. - Mike Halliwell - ''Part 1: Howl at the Six''
The other amazing thing I brought from England. By my super-talented mate from uni. He still won't sing for me, so I'm hoping to see a live gig in the future. This album sent me to sleep and kept me up working for so many nights.

Take me out pt.2

You know when, even working from home, sometimes you're so busy, you go out for the sole reason of dressing up and walk through a crowd of people, hoping to meet someone you know? Still, after loud music, underage crowd, some yummy ice cream that made me feel ill and meeting a beautiful, successful friend inlove (universe' way of reminding me i need to finish uni and move out), we opted for cake and wine at a birthday party by the pool. Oh you were expecting something exciting? Sorry.

Back from Lisboa! It is true what they say of portugese weather, sea and men (hot/cold/hot). 
I met one of the latter on a night out, our youth-exchange-leaders-boyfriends-brother, a lovely designer/surfer Sandro Costa. Apart from being an amazing person and a busy designer spending a whole night out to show the Lisbon night life to people he just met and taking us for breakfast in the morning, he also designes shirts. Me and my friend Monta played treasure hunt through Lisbon to find the Lisboa Carmo shop where they sell them and got one each. Did I say treasure hunt? I meant pleasure hunt! 

 

Vintage Vikend opening

The second hand and vintage market opening yesterday was an incredible dance of eager fashionistas and shoppers, boys and girls, as well as some very stylish ladies looking for unique clothes and accessories. We sold out most of the stuff in the first hour! I want to thank everyone for being so inspiring and for all the lovely compliments, excitement and such unbelievably positive response!

I would also like to thank our PR for an impressive media coverage, master Hatanaa for the amazing performance, Anže Vrabl for incredible photos and the stunning girls from the Farandula shop, without whom none of this would have happened as it did. My thanks also go to the supportive and genuinely fun people who stayed for post-show celebrations!

Don't forget, we're still there until Sunday!!!

Hopefully there will be more opportunities to do this again, and we will make sure you get to know about it when we do!
